Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and Mexico’s official news agency Notimex have agreed to boost information exchanges within the framework of their cooperation agreement recently signed in Mexico City.
The signing took place during a working trip to Mexico by a VNA delegation led by Deputy Director General Dinh Dang Quang.
At a working session with the VNA delegation, general director of Notimex Sanjuana Martínez Montemayor noted the positive bilateral cooperation outcomes in recent times.

She voiced her hope that the two sides will promote information cooperation in various publication forms.
Notimex is willing to enhance training work and exchanges of reporters and editors with VNA, she said.
Vietnam is a country with much to learn from, she said, adding that Notimex wants to disseminate information about Vietnam’s achievements in fighting poverty and corruption, as well as in other fields of culture, history and sports.
For his part, Quang expressed his belief that during Sanjuana Martínez’s working tenure, the bilateral cooperative relations and information exchanges will be enhanced.
The cooperation agreement creates a legal foundation for a new period in bilateral relations with greater efficiency, he said.
The deputy director general informed his host that with a 74-year history of establishment and development, VNA is a key national external information agency with the provision of information in all areas from life, culture and society in more than 10 languages for international media agencies.
He presented a letter of congratulation from VNA Director General Nguyen Duc Loi to Sanjuana Martínez on her recent appointment to the position of Notimex director general.
During their working trip to Mexico from April 2-9, the VNA delegation had working sessions with representatives from Mexico’s Labor Party to discuss cooperation in printing and promoting the image of Vietnam.-(VNA/VLLF)
