Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh on April 3 began his official visit to Angola, looking to expand cooperation with this country in the domains of oil and gas, healthcare, education and training, agriculture and aquaculture.
During the visit, Mr. Manh and Angolan President Jose Eduardo Dos Santos resolved to constantly develop comprehensive partnership on the basis of equality and mutual benefit for peace, stability, cooperation and development in their regions and the world. They also agreed to expand economic cooperation, and increase trade based on tapping each country’s advantages.
The two sides signed a framework agreement for economic, scientific, technological and cultural cooperation; a trade agreement; an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports; and an oil and gas cooperation protocol.
During his visit (April 4-6) to Mozambique, the General Secretary and the Mozambican President agreed to speed up negotiations for completing a legal framework for stable and sustainable cooperation between the two countries.
They approved the signing of an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports; a protocol on the establishment of the Vietnam-Mozambique Inter-Governmental Committee; and a protocol on education and training cooperation.
They also agreed to open as soon as possible embassies in their respective capital cities.-
