As provided in a joint circular newly issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government Inspectorate, from May 1, corruption whistleblowers will be rewarded up to VND 3.4 billion.
Accordingly, persons who come forward to denounce corruption will be awarded in many ways.

Specifically, those who detect and try to prevent corrupt acts worth VND 300 million or more or sacrifice their lives or are injured while doing so, with the injury rate of at least 61 percent will be awarded the Medal of Courage.
Persons who denounce, stop or handle corrupt acts, thereby helping the State recover sums of money or assets valued between VND 200 million and 500 million, or those who suffer injury or health damage with the injury rate of between 31 and 61 percent, will be awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister.
Persons who denounce and help stop corrupt acts, thereby helping the State recover sums of money or assets worth 600 times or more the basic salary level will be rewarded in cash of up to VND 3.4 billion.
In addition to the aforesaid award levels, corruption whistleblowers will be rewarded from the fund for corruption prevention and combat managed by the Government Inspectorate.
The awarding of corruption whistleblowers is carried out publicly, except for cases involving classified state secrets or requested by to-be-awarded persons not to be publicized.-
