From September 13, the fee for licensing advertisements displayed in any form will be charged on the basis of actual advertising spaces and contents on signboards and panels, with the total fee collected for each licensing not exceeding VND 4 million.
The Finance Ministry stipulates in Circular No. 154/2009/TT-BTC of July 30 that the fee for licensing advertisements displayed on signboards, panels or the like which are 40 m2 or more large will be VND 600,000/license multiplied by the number of advertising contents. Similarly, each advertisement space of 30-40 m2, 20-30 m2, 10-20 m2 and under 10 m2 will be subject to a fee rate of VND 500,000; 400,000; 200,000 and 100,000, respectively.
For advertisements displayed on vehicles; illuminated, aerial, underwater or moving objects and the like, the fee rate will be VND 100,000 for each vehicle or object.
A banderole or poster advertisement will be liable to a fee of VND 50,000. However, a total licensing fee for this type of advertisement must not exceed VND 2 million.
The fee for license extension will equal 50% of the above fee rate.-
