The Prime Minister has approved a master plan aiming at rapid development of bus transportation in big cities, especially Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as static traffic facilities and road works for disabled road users up to 2020 and 2030.
Under Vietnam’s road transport master plan for the next decade promulgated together with Prime Minister Decision No. 1327/QD-TTg of August 24, the increase of individual means of transport will be controlled to help curb traffic congestion and ensure urban traffic safety. Incentives will be given to entities of all economic sectors investing in road infrastructure to satisfy all needs for cargo and passenger transportation, ensuring quality services, reasonable freight and fare rates, safety and convenience, reducing traffic accidents and mitigating environmental pollution.
