DECISION No. 445/QD-TTg: Prime Minister approves national plan against corruption

According to the plan on implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption promulgated together with Prime Minister Decision No. 445/QD-TTg of April 7, criminal penalties will be designed against acts of giving or receiving money or other material benefits to or by foreign officials or employees of international organizations for self-seeking purposes and some other acts of corruption specified in the Law Against Corruption.

The plan focuses on dissemination and popularization of the anti-corruption law and the Convention Against Corruption and elaboration of domestic regulations against corruption to meet requirements of the Law Against Corruption, which will be implemented in three phases 2010-11, 2011-16 and 2016-20. Upon completion of each phase, amendments to anti-corruption regulations and mechanisms, new solutions and measures to improve operation of anti-corruption bodies and raise the effectiveness of anti-corruption activities will be proposed.
