Rural and ethnic minority people will get better access to laws once a program worth VND 75.298 billion is implemented from now to 2012.
The program on intensification of law dissemination and popularization among rural inhabitants and ethnic minority people, which was approved on May 4 by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 554/QD-TTg, targets not only rural inhabitants and ethnic minority people but also public employees doing jobs related to these people and commune-level law communicators, aiming to raise their awareness about law observance.
By the end of 2012, three out of every four rural inhabitants and ethnic minority people will be made aware of agriculture and rural development, ethnic minority, gender equality, marriage and family laws and policies. Meanwhile, over 90 per cent of public employees in charge of rural population and ethnic minority affairs will be provided with legal knowledge about their professional jobs.-
