The goal of the scheme is to attain a sustainable economic growth rate for development toward a knowledge-based, digital economy, conduct urban administration work in an effective manner, raise the quality of the living and working environment, and increase public involvement in urban administration work.
In order to develop Ho Chi Minh City into a smart city, the municipal administration will firstly establish a common-use shared data store and an open data eco-system which are considered a prerequisite for operation of a smart city administration center. The city will also build a stimulation research and forecasting center serving the formulation of socio-economic development strategies, a smart administration center and an information security center.
In the immediate future, the scheme will be implemented on a pilot basis in Districts 1 and 12.- (VLLF)
