PM sets goals for judicial sector in 2017
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked the judicial sector to take the initiative in advising the Government and Prime Minister on solutions to institutionalize all guidelines of the Party, National Assembly and Government set out in their resolutions and focus on improving legal institutions relevant to investment and business activities.

Speaking about this year’s orientations and tasks for the judicial sector at a national conference on judicial work in 2017, Phuc requested the sector to attach importance to the law-making program and the principle of power control in the law making process.

The PM called upon the sector to effectively organize the law enforcement and advise the Government and local administrations on solutions to handle the defiance of law in the state apparatus as well as the society and address legal issues emerging during the social-economic development.

The Ministry of Justice should promptly identify obstacles facing citizens and businesses in order to give advises and proposals to the Government for the latter to formulate appropriate policies, stressed PM.

The Government leader emphasized the necessity for the sector to intensify the application of information technology and connect to the national databases to ensure publicity and transparency of administrative procedures and persistently combat corruption.

Civil judgment enforcement must be carried out effectively from this year, Phuc said, adding that disciplines and the prevention and control of corruption and negative phenomena among justice personnel must be tightened.

The sector should promptly appraise treaties and provide legal advices to the Government and local administrations to minimize risks in international trade and offshore investment and to avoid and effectively settle international disputes, said the PM.-(VLLF)
