Powers and duties: Rethinking the organization and role of Government
A Law on Organization of the Government was first issued in 1960. Though amended several times, often after the promulgation of new constitutions (and most recently in 2001), the law continues to be considered for further revision in light of Vietnam’s socio-economic development, international integration and the fight against corruption and waste.
