Earlier, the Finance Ministry proposed eleven groups of imported goods required to undergo the customs procedures at border gates with the aim of reducing the volume of some imports and promoting the domestic production.

These imports include cigarettes, cigars and tobacco products; liquor; beer; under-16 seat cars; two- and three-wheeled motorcycles of a cylinder capacity of over 125 cm3; aircraft and yachts liable to excise tax; gasoline of all kinds; air conditioners of up to 90,000 BTU; playing cards; votive gilt papers and votive objects; and imported goods with preferential import duty rates, even particularly preferential tax rate of 10 percent or higher.-(VLLF)
