The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) promulgated a code of conduct for labor exporting enterprises in Hanoi on July 15.

The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) promulgated a code of conduct for labor exporting enterprises in Hanoi on July 15.

The code, developed by the Vietnam Association of Manpower Supply (VAMAS) in collaboration with the MoLISA and the International Labor Organization and based on the Vietnamese legal system and international legal regulations on migrant labor, provides legal regulations, business standards, job advertising, selection, training, and procedures for labor export.

Other issues focus on the protection of guest workers, dispute settlement mechanisms and partnership procedures.

The code, applicable on a voluntary basis, serves as an important instrument for enterprises to better observe law and manage their operations to prevent forced labor and human trafficking.

If properly implemented, the code would help enterprises stably grow and gain a reputation for quality services, VAMAS President Nguyen Luong Trao said.-
