Foreign-invested enterprises operating in Hanoi’s industrial parks and export-processing zones, especially those prone to strike, are required to completely formulate and register regulations on wage payment, scales and tables, and announce them within enterprises before August 30, 2008, according to the People’s Committee of Hanoi city.

The municipal People’s Committee asks chairmen of boards of directors and general directors of above enterprises to observe the Labor Code’s provisions on employer responsibilities and obligations to ensure employment, wage, social insurance, work conditions, collective labor agreements, and to facilitate the establishment of trade unions within enterprises through which employees’ petitions can be negotiated and settled.
