July 1 marks the effective date of eleven laws, which were passed on November 29, 2006, by the National Assembly.
They include the Law on Notarization; the Law on Tax Administration; the Law on Gender Equality; the Law on Vietnamese Guest Workers; the Law Revising a Number of Articles of the Labor Code; the Law on Residence; the Law on Donation, Removal and Transplantation of Human Tissues and Organs and Donation and Recovery of Cadavers; the Law on Physical Training and Sports; the Law on Dikes; the Law on Technology Transfer; and the Law Revising a Number of Articles of the Law on Organization of the National Assembly.
Two ordinances, namely the Ordinance on Conclusion and Implementation of International Agreements and the Ordinance on Exercise of Democracy in Communes, Wards and Townships, also take effect on July 1.-
