Nation boosts legislative cooperation with RoK
Vietnam’s National Assembly (NA) is willing to closely cooperate with its counterparts in the Republic of Korea (RoK) to enhance the two countries’ strategic cooperation partnership.

Vietnam’s National Assembly (NA) is willing to closely cooperate with its counterparts in the Republic of Korea (RoK) to enhance the two countries’ strategic cooperation partnership, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung on March 18 told Speaker of RoK’s National Assembly Chung Ui-Hwa during the latter’s five-day official visit to Vietnam.

Hung said bilateral ties had been developing strongly as seen through exchanges of delegations, demonstrating the political trust between the two countries’ leaders.

Economic cooperation had also seen encouraging progress as the RoK respectively ranked first, second and third in terms of direct investment, official development assistance provision and trade in Vietnam, the NA leader noted.

He said he hoped Speaker Chung Ui-Hwa and the RoK’s NA would support the extension of the special memorandum of understanding (MoU) on labor cooperation and the renewal of the MoU on labor cooperation between the two nations.

Speaker Chung Ui-Hwa expressed his hope for increased cooperation between the two parliaments and governments to meet the expectations of the two peoples.

Both sides also agreed to maintain exchange of delegations at all levels and intensify the sharing of information, experience and viewpoints on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The two countries will also create a favorable legal environment to facilitate travel and cooperation to protect their citizens.-
