The Thua Thien - Hue Association of Enterprises would continue proposing the Government to establish a national system of enterprise support centers from central to local level, said its Chairman Duong Tuan Anh.
According to Anh, Resolution No. 35 on supporting and developing businesses through 2020 prescribes in details policies and responsibilities of ministries, sectors and localities in supporting enterprises. However, the contents guiding the establishment and operation of enterprise support centers have yet become reality.
Meanwhile, support policies for enterprises largely focused on attracting foreign direct investment rather than facilitating the development of domestic private and small- and medium-sized enterprise, he said.
While the need to lure large foreign businesses to invest in the country was quite apparent, it was also necessary to set forth requirements for them to cooperate with local businesses and employ local workers, he said. In every locality, a center should be established and vested with practical powers under the Prime Minister’s regulations to establish and maintain close connection with foreign investors that are invited to invest in such locality, he said.
He also proposed the Government to finalize and submit to the National Assembly for promulgation the Law on Support for Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises.- (VLLF)
