Ministries, branches and localities should continue to guide the implementation of urgent solutions to prevent economic decline, maintain economic growth and assure social welfare, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said at the cabinet’s regular April meeting, held in Hanoi on May 4-5.
The Prime Minister asked concerned ministries and branches to disburse the Government’s economic stimulus packages, implement such social welfare policies as housing for the poor, students, industrial park workers, and to boost the fight against corruption.
At the meeting, the Government commented on a draft decree replacing Decree No. 90/2001/ND-CP of November 23, 2001, on supports to develop small- and medium-sized enterprises and a draft Law on Post.
It also heard a report on experimental non-organization of People’s Councils of rural districts, urban districts and wards, and discussed schemes on vocational training for rural laborers up to 2020; training of commune cadres and civil servants up to 2020 for agricultural and rural industrialization and modernization.-
