The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee discussed the 2010 law- and ordinance-making program during its 19th session from April 14-21 in Hanoi.
The program must prioritize areas with urgent requirements and be practical, feasible and scientifically-based, said NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong.
NA Standing Committee members agreed on the draft program, which comprises 34 draft laws and one draft ordinance.
They also commented on the Government’s proposal to postpone the Law on Deposit Insurance and revised Land Law, which would probably be passed at the NA’s seventh meeting, scheduled for October next year.
At this session, the Committee also discussed the Ordinance on examination and appraisal in civil and administrative procedures; amendments to Article 126 of the Housing Law and Article 121 of the Land Law; the Law revising a number of articles of the laws concerning capital construction investment; the Law revising the Law on Cultural Heritage; the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment; the Telecommunications Law; and the Law on Cipher.
